Mawlānā Afthab Cassim al-Qādirī Razvī Noori is a distinguished Islamic scholar, theologian, jurist, writer, orator, and teacher based in Durban, South Africa. He is the founder of the Imam Mustafa Raza Research Centre, established to uplift Islam and publicize its true and pristine teachings.

Mawlānā Afthab Cassim pursued extensive studies in Islamic sciences, focusing on theology, jurisprudence, and spirituality. His dedication to learning has positioned him as a respected authority in Sunni scholarship.

He is a disciple (murīd) of Ḥuzoor Tāj al-Sharīʿah, Allāmah Muftī Muḥammad Akhtar Riḍā Khān Qādirī al-Aẓharī (may Allah have mercy on him), and has been honoured with Khilāfah (spiritual succession) and Wikālah (representation) by him. Additionally, he has received Khilāfah from other eminent scholars, including Mumtāz al-Fuqahāʾ Ḥuzoor Muḥaddith-e-Kabīr Allāmah Ziyā al-Muṣṭafā Qādirī, Muḥaddith-e-Bareilly Ḥaḍrat Allāmah Teḥsīn Riḍā Khān (may Allah have mercy on them), and Mujāhid-e-Ahlus Sunnah Ḥaḍrat Allāmah Sayyid Shāh Turāb al-Ḥaq Qādirī (may Allah have mercy on him).

Through the Imam Mustafa Raza Research Centre, Mawlānā Afthab Cassim has provided numerous services to the Muslim Ummah, including the publication of Islamic literature, educational programs, and community services. The center aims to propagate the teachings of Islam positively and educate the masses about true Islam, following the way of the Ahl-e-Sunnat wa Jama'at.

Among his notable works is the English translation of "Fatwa Africa," originally compiled in 1336 Hijri by Aʿlā Ḥaḍrat Imām Aḥmad Riḍā Khān (may Allah have mercy on him). This translation makes the seminal work accessible to a broader English-speaking audience. He has also translated many volumes of the Hanafi magnum opus Bahār e Sharīah in to English.
